Move and Groove Program
We have a firm belief that exercise is extremely important in the development of all children, with proven benefits across the board. The most obvious benefits being fitness, strength and flexibility, as well as improving children’s ability to focus in class and deal with emotional challenges.
At Playschool Early Learning Centres we are fortunate to have a qualified personal trainer on our team. He has designed an age appropriate active kids program called Move and Groove. Within these sessions the children will gain space and body awareness, stretching, hand eye co-ordination, problem solving skills, motivation, social skills, cognitive skills and with the whole program linking to the Abecedarian Approach, language skills.
Care for Our Greats Program
Grandparents have a lifetime of experience to offer a child, but don’t always get to spend time with their own grandchildren. That is why we welcome Grandparents, and any older member of the community, to spend some time at Playschool Early Learning Centres sharing their wisdom and enjoying some quality time with the children.
By engaging with a local Aged Care Facility we are developing community links and encouraging intergenerational learning. The children are given the opportunity to learn about history from our older generation. Aged Care Residents can benefit from regular visits with our children and feel a sense of value and belonging in our community.
If you have some spare time, no matter how small or how often, we would love for you to come and visit us. If you would like to be part of the Care for Our Greats Program, or just want to know more, please speak to one of our friendly staff.
Adopt an Aboriginal Elder
At Playschool Early Learning Centres we support and embrace cultural diversity. We have adopted an Aboriginal elder, Aunty Di to come into our Centres throughout the year.
Aunty Di delivers a program that contains singing, dancing, instruments, cultural facts, dream time stories, face painting and much more.
She adapts her program to suit the needs of different age groups within the Centre. All of the children look forward to her visits and love getting involved in the program.

Kids in the Kitchen
Our ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ cooking experience program at Playschool Early Learning Centres is a chance to introduce our children to fresh, healthy foods and helps the children learn about what different foods look like and where they come from. These cooking experiences allow us to use our produce from our own fruit and vegetable gardens which foster an appreciation of the natural world, promoting environmental awareness and social and physical well-being.
Cooking is also a wonderful opportunity to help young children learn and practice basic math concepts and build language skills. The experience of creating meals or specific dishes helps build self-confidence and a sense of accomplishment; it also helps children explore with their senses and helps them to open up to new tastes. These cooking experiences also provide opportunities for lots of fun and enjoyment – which is key!
Small Green Steps
Playschool Early Learning Centres are excited to be a part of Small Green Steps. A 12 month sustainability program which embeds sustainable practices within the Centres.
This program will enhance, consolidate and extend our current sustainability program and practices. We are excited to be educating your kids about taking care of their future.
The 40-step program is completed by each Centre as a group and has been designed to provide everything needed to embed sustainable practices across the Centre and meet the Australian National Quality Framework environmental objectives.
Soulful Babes Yoga
“Balanced Bodies – Happy Minds!” Introducing children to yoga at an early age can help them learn healthy lifestyle habits and set the foundation for a fit future. Playschool Early Learning Centres have developed a program with the expert advice from a qualified yoga teacher to include yoga as part of the children’s daily routine.
With regular practice some of the benefits of yoga include increased balance, co-ordination, flexibility and inner strength.
Yoga is also great for children’s overall well-being. Children develop awareness of their bodies, awareness of their breath and begin to develop awareness of their thoughts.
Little Green Thumbs
At Playschool Early Learning Centres we focus on a holistic approach to learning and development. We are very excited to have a qualified Horticulturist from Little Eden Gardens coming into the Centres once a month to help the children with their gardening program ‘Little Green Thumbs’.
Gardening is a healthy and fun activity for children. The garden offers children a great range of activities and lessons. They not only develop new skills but they also learn about science and nutrition. Most importantly they spend time in a natural environment and get physically active.
Little Big Sport Soccer
Little Big Sport childcare soccer programs are carefully designed specifically for 2-5 year olds. They understand that above all, little ones want to have fun, and if they are enjoying themselves they will learn along the way. Each and every game developed has a purpose to develop specific skills and of course is FUN! All children have the chance to have a free trial, so if your little one hasn’t had a go yet and you are not sure, please let us know and we will be sure to take them for a trial.
During their participation in the soccer programs, children develop and grow physically and emotionally. Through innovative, fun drills and activities, children develop their coordination and general soccer skills, and with the incorporation of a variety of themes and games, children learn to follow instructions, teamwork and develop their self-confidence and imagination. The focus is on enjoyment for each and every child who participates.
At the conclusion of each session, each child receives a sticker and stamp, and at the end of the year, each regular participant receives a special award!
Tiny Tennis is an ongoing fun and professional program designed specifically for 2 – 5 year olds, introducing your child to the basics of tennis. Each sessions consists of learning or practicing a new tennis stroke while also teaching group participation, hand-eye coordination and confidence building. Children of any skill and coordination level gain benefits from the program while also creating an ongoing positive relationship with an adult. All of this is taught within a framework of fun and enhances the children’s love of outdoors, physical activity and sports!
The children are in the program for approximately 30 minutes with small class sizes of 4-6 children. The children get to follow their own progress achieved by stamping their own medal book at the conclusion of each session. Each stamp attained will go towards a series of achievement awards, working their way from their first bronze medal all the way up to a trophy!
Leap Tumble Dance

This combined with the energetics of dance and movement offers a wonderful co-curricular experience for your child.

Doremifun Music for Kids
Doremifun offer early childhood music and movement classes for children between 2 and 5. Because children learn best through play, their small group classes are packed with fun, and offer a developmental and sequential music education program while providing a safe environment for your child to interact in a cheerful and nurturing atmosphere.
Our voice is our first and natural instrument given to us at birth, and so these classes are based on carefully chosen traditional and contemporary songs, rhymes and listening games, coupled with dance and movement activities, simple percussion instruments, scarves, puppets and books, all designed to awaken children’s sensitivity to fundamental musical concepts and to support their physical, spiritual, intellectual, emotional and social development.
Classes are based on recent child development research and on the internationally recognised Kodaly philosophy of music education, currently used in Queensland primary school curriculums. Classes are carefully structured to provide developmentally appropriate learning which will enhance the aural, speech and social development of your child, as well as laying excellent foundations for later instrumental studies.

‘Giving Hope’ Charity Program
Playschool Early Learning Centres has a long and varied history of supporting our local families, Gold Coast community charities and national charities as we believe it is important for children to grow up understanding their role within the community and the ways in which small acts of kindness can have a greater effect when someone is in need.
Our Playschool’s ‘Giving Hope’ Charity Program helps children to think about others and not become too focussed on their own needs and wants which in turn gives children the opportunity to see how sharing and caring for others makes them feel. Our charity program gives kids a powerful boost in self-esteem to realise they can make a difference in someone’s life, which we believe contributes to children being happier, smarter and more successful.
Each Playschool Centre’s chosen charity varies depending on the needs of our families and community and we also follow the children’s leads and interests. We encourage families to also teach and role model small acts of kindness so our children move forward in life “living and giving”.
